# Change personal details and password

Your personal details show your team who you are. Guests don't see them.

## Change name and phone
1. Open [[Account › Personal details]].
2. Under "About you", tap **Name** or **Phone**. First and last name are required.
3. Enter the new value and tap **Save**. The change appears straight away.

NFCeez uses your phone number only for questions from NFCeez. Guests don't see it.

## Change avatar and colour
1. Tap your avatar at the top of [[Account]], or open [[Account › Personal details › Avatar and colour]].
2. Under **Avatar** and **Colour**, choose how you appear in the app.

## Change your password
You stay signed in.
1. Open [[Account › Personal details]] and tap **Password**.
2. Tap **Send code**. NFCeez sends a code to your email.
3. Enter the code and tap **Confirm code**.
4. Enter your **New password** and tap **Save password**. You'll see "Password changed."

The new password needs at least 6 characters, an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter and a special character. A password you're using right now won't work.

## Forgot your password
1. When signing in, tap **Forgot password?**.
2. Enter your email and tap **Send code**.
3. Enter the 6-digit code from the email and tap **Confirm code**. No code? Check your spam folder.
4. Choose a new password and tap **Save password**. Then sign in again with **Go to sign in**.

## If something goes wrong
- "Too many codes requested. Wait a moment and try again.": wait a little.
- "That didn't work. Check the code and choose a password you aren't using yet.": check the code and pick a different password.

## Common questions
**Can I change my email?** Not in the app. It's locked under "Sign-in & security". If you have questions about it, see [Help and contact](hilfe-und-kontakt).
