# Delete your account

Deleting can't be undone. If you only want a break, take your page [offline](live-oder-offline) or sign out instead.

## What happens when you delete
- Your account and your personal details are deleted.
- Your locations and Smart Pages are no longer reachable.
- Guest, loyalty and booking data are lost.
- Your NFC products no longer open these pages.

> **Important:** An Apple subscription doesn't end with the account. Cancel it with Apple so it doesn't renew. More under [Cancel your subscription](abo-kuendigen).

## Delete your account
1. Open [[Account › Delete account]]. Read what will be deleted and tap **Continue**.
2. Tap **Manage subscription with Apple** and cancel your subscription if you have one. Then tap **Continue to deletion**.
3. If you signed up with email, enter **Your password**.
4. Tap **I understand** and drag the slider to the left ("Slide left to confirm").
5. At "Permanently delete account?", tap **Delete permanently**.
6. If you signed up with Apple, confirm with Apple. Finally, confirm with Face ID. Only then is anything deleted, and the app signs you out.

**Keep account** cancels at any time. During setup, too, you'll find **Delete account** under "…" at the top right.

## If something goes wrong
- "That password is not right. …": enter the password you sign in with.
- "No internet connection. Your account was not deleted. …": check your connection and try again.
- "The deletion was interrupted. …": your account still exists. Try again. If it fails again, email support@nfceez.de.

## Common questions
**Can I delete just one location?** Yes. You don't have to delete your whole account for that. See [Delete and restore a location](standort-loeschen-und-wiederherstellen).

**What happens to my NFC stickers and NFC cards?** They no longer open your pages. How long data is kept is explained in "Deletion & retention", linked in the second step.
