# Check and approve your dishes

After the import, your menu is a private draft. You check it right in the view that looks the way your guests will see it. You can only publish once nothing is left open.

## Work through the open checks
1. Open [[Smart Page › Edit page › Menu]].
2. Look at the bar at the bottom. If it says "3 checks left", tap **Review**. The next dish that still needs something opens.
3. Add what's missing and tap **Done**.
4. Repeat until the bar shows "Ready for your guests."

In the list, dishes with open checks are marked **Check allergens** or **Price missing**.

> **Tip:** As long as the AI can still add details, the bar shows **Fill with AI** first. See [Complete with AI](mit-ki-vervollstaendigen).

## What blocks publishing
- a dish without a name, or a missing price (sizes and extras included)
- a dish with no allergen decision
- conflicting details, for example "Vegan" together with milk or eggs
- categories or menus without a name
- no visible dishes at all

## Accept AI suggestions
AI suggestions have a dashed outline. Tap one and choose **Confirm** or **Remove suggestion**. On a dish's "Food information" page you can take a whole "AI suggestion" with **Accept**, or go through it point by point with **Review each**.

Unconfirmed AI suggestions remain private. Guests don't see them, not even after you publish.

## Common questions
**Do I have to add descriptions and ingredients?** No. The law requires allergen information for every dish and prices. Descriptions and ingredients are optional.

**Can an Editor publish?** No. Editors can check and change the menu. Only Owners and Managers can publish.
