# Complete with AI

The AI reads every dish in its category and uses the allergen codes printed on your menu. It adds a description, ingredients, allergens, additives, and vegan and age labels. Everything stays private until you publish.

## Fill in the whole menu
1. Open [[Smart Page › Edit page › Menu]].
2. In the bar at the bottom, tap **Fill with AI**.
3. The first time, you accept the terms for AI and menus. The app only asks once on this iPhone.
4. Tap **Fill in**. The AI works group by group. Keep the screen open.
5. When "Your menu is filled in." appears, tap **Done**. If you see "Part of it is filled in.", only part was completed; you can try again later.

## Complete a single dish
1. Open the dish on your menu.
2. Under the name, tap **Complete with AI**. The details it finds appear one after another.
3. Tap **Done**.

Each dish is completed once. After that, the button no longer appears for that dish.

## What you need to know
- Everything the AI finds goes straight into your draft, allergens included. If it finds no allergens, the dish is set to **Ask staff**.
- You are responsible for your menu's allergen information. The AI can't check hidden ingredients or cross-contact. Compare the details with your recipe before you publish.
- You can change every entry afterwards. See [Allergens and labels](allergene-und-kennzeichnungen).
- Filling in is free and doesn't use an import. Your account's monthly AI allowance still applies.

> **Important:** If you see "AI is at its limit this month.", the monthly AI allowance is used up. Try again later or add the details by hand.

## Common questions
**I don't see "Fill with AI".** The bar only shows it while there are dishes the AI hasn't completed yet, and only when the AI is available.

**What do I do about "The AI couldn't complete this right now"?** Wait a moment and try again.

**Do guests see the details right away?** No. They only appear once an Owner or Manager [publishes](speisekarte-veroeffentlichen-und-sprachen) the menu.
