# Connect an NFC product

A new NFC sticker or NFC card only leads to your Smart Page once you've connected it. Only the Owner can connect products.

## Connect a product
1. Open [[Account › Products]] and tap **Connect product**.
2. If you have several locations, the app asks "Where should it lead?". Pick the location and tap **Continue**.
3. At "Hold your iPhone to the product." tap **Connect now**. Hold the sticker or card steady against the top edge of your iPhone until it vibrates.
4. The app checks "Product recognised", "Genuine NFCeez product" and "Still available".
5. If the product wasn't ordered for your account, the app asks for the code from the packaging. Enter the private code (four blocks of four characters) and tap **Check**.
6. At "Connect to …?" tap **Connect**. This can't be changed later.
7. "Connected." appears. Tap **Done** or **Connect another product**.

Instead of tapping, you can choose **Scan QR code** or **Enter code** in step 3. If your iPhone can't read NFC, scan the QR code on the product.

> **Important:** When you hold a blank NFC sticker or blank NFC card to the iPhone, the app writes your link onto it right away and locks it for good. So only hold products to the iPhone that you really want to use.

## After connecting
The product appears under [[Account › Products]]. [Test it and give it a name](produkt-testen-und-benennen) so you know where it is.

You can also connect a product with **Connect NFCeez product** while setting up your business. You can skip that step and do it later.

## Common questions
**I don't see "Connect product".** Only the Owner sees this button.

**I cancelled before "Connect".** Hold the product to the iPhone again and start over.
