# Change plan or add more locations

You can change your plan at any time, for example from Loyalty to Complete, or from 1 location to up to 3. Apple bills the change. Only the owner can change the plan.

## Change your plan
1. Open [[Account › Your plan]].
2. Tap **Change plan**. On Basic the button says **Choose plan**.
3. Choose the plan at the top and the number of locations below: **1 location**, **up to 3** or **up to 5**.
4. At the bottom you see what happens and when:
   - **Upgrade to …:** "Applies right away. Apple credits your remaining time."
   - **Switch to …:** "Applies from your next renewal." This is the case for a cheaper plan.
5. Tap the button and confirm with Apple.

If you pick your current plan, it says "This is your current plan."

> **Important:** If you have more locations than the new plan allows, the app shows "You have … locations. With this plan the newest go offline until you upgrade again." The locations aren't deleted. With a matching plan they're reachable again.

## Back to Basic
Basic isn't a subscription. You switch to Basic by cancelling your subscription with Apple. If you choose Basic and tap **Start for free**, the app opens your Apple subscriptions for this. The steps are in [Cancel your subscription](abo-kuendigen).

## Common questions
**I chose a smaller plan, but nothing changed.** That's expected. A smaller plan only applies from your next renewal. Until then you keep your current plan.
