# Try a month for free

You can use the paid plans free for one month. That way you try the stamp card, bookings and menu with real guests before you pay anything. The free month is an Apple offer and runs through your Apple account.

Only the owner can start it.

## Start the free month
1. Open [[Account › Your plan]] and tap **Choose plan**. During setup, the step "Your plan" takes you straight there.
2. Choose **Loyalty**, **Booking** or **Complete**, and below it **1 location**, **up to 3** or **up to 5**.
3. Check the summary: "Due today" shows €0, and the line "From …" shows the date and the price after that.
4. Tap **Start 1 month free** and confirm with Apple.

[[Account › Your plan]] now shows "Free month". Under Billing you see "Free until" with the date and the monthly price under "After that".

## What happens after the month
If you don't cancel, Apple renews the subscription automatically and charges your plan's price every month from then on. If you don't want to continue, cancel in good time before the "Free until" date and keep to the deadline Apple shows you: [Cancel your subscription](abo-kuendigen). "After that" then shows "Basic, free".

> **Important:** Apple decides whether you're offered the free month. If you've already used it, the button says "Subscribe to …" instead, and "Due today" shows the full price. An additional or new location doesn't bring a new free month.

## Common questions
**Can I try Basic?** There's no need: Basic is free forever, with no subscription.
