# Where do my guests come from?

"Where they come from" shows which way guests opened your Smart Page. That way you see whether your sticker at the counter, your Instagram profile or your Google listing is paying off.

## Open the tile
1. Open [[Home › Reach]] and scroll to "In detail".
2. In "Where they come from" you see a short sentence and your five strongest sources with visits and change.
3. Tap the tile. The full list shows every source with its share in percent.

## The sources
- "NFC" and "QR code": your connected products.
- Platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, WhatsApp, YouTube, Email or "Other websites".
- "Direct": visits whose source stays unknown, for example a typed-in link.

NFCeez recognises the source by itself: from a tag in the link, from the app the link is opened in, or from the website the guest came from. So you only need one link everywhere.

> **Important:** At the top, among the four figures, the figure for all views through your link is called "Via links". It includes those from Instagram or Google. "Direct" only appears in "Where they come from", for visits whose source is unknown.

## Make the source more precise
- **Share menu:** When you share your link with **Share** in [[Smart Page › Share]], it automatically gets a tag for WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger, Telegram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Snapchat, Pinterest, Threads, and Mail, Gmail and Outlook. Links shared through Messages, AirDrop or **Copy** stay untagged.
- **Google:** In [[Smart Page › Share]], use the links under "For your Google profile". They carry the tag for Google.
- **Your own tag:** Add `?via=` and a source to your link, for example `nfceez.de/cafesonne-aplerbeck?via=newsletter`. Recognised values include `instagram`, `facebook`, `tiktok`, `google`, `whatsapp`, `youtube`, `newsletter` or `email` (counted as Email) and `website` (counted as "Other websites").

## Common questions
**Why is so much under "Direct"?** Some apps open links without saying where they come from. Typed-in links and links you shared through Messages, AirDrop or **Copy** end up there too. With `?via=` you can assign your own links.

**Why is a platform missing?** A source only appears once at least one visit came through it in the chosen period.
