# Starting and planning campaigns

Your stamp card runs in campaigns. Each campaign has a reward, a number of stamps and a duration. Only owners and managers start or plan campaigns.

## Start your first campaign
1. Open [[Guests › Loyalty]] and tap **Start your first campaign**.
2. Pick a template, for example "Coffee classic" (10 stamps, a free hot drink), or tap **Create your own campaign**. You can adjust a template afterwards.
3. Write the reward, for example "Free iced coffee". Up to 24 characters, it shows large on the card. Below it you'll find suggestions from your menu.
4. Set after how many stamps the reward is earned (1 to 100).
5. Choose the duration: **2 weeks**, **1 month**, **3 months**, **No end date** or **Choose a date**.
6. Design the card in three steps (see [Designing your stamp card](karte-gestalten)).
7. Check the name, reward, stamps and end, then tap **Start campaign**. You see "Your campaign is live." Use **Share loyalty programme** to send the sign-up link.

For the first campaign, the data processing agreement must be concluded. Only the owner can do this, see [Agreement and terms of participation](treue-vereinbarung-und-bedingungen).

## Plan the next campaign
In the "Campaigns" section, tap **New campaign**, or **Start a new campaign** if none is running. The steps are the same. If a campaign is still running, you tap **Plan campaign** at the end. The new one starts automatically the day after the running one ends.

If the running campaign has no end date, the app first asks when it ends. If guests are already collecting, the end is at least 30 days away.

## Rules
- One campaign runs, and at most one more is planned.
- While a campaign runs, its reward and number of stamps stay fixed. Only the end date can change, with **Change end date**. An earlier end needs at least 30 days' notice once guests are collecting.
- With a new campaign, stamps start again from zero. Guests see the new campaign on their card straight away and get a notification.
- Earned rewards can be redeemed for 30 days after the end of their campaign.

## Common questions
**How do I delete a planned campaign?** Tap it, then **Delete plan**, and confirm with **Clear**. The planned campaign won't start; the running one stays as it is.

**Can I run an ended campaign again?** Yes. Tap it under "Ended", then tap **Run again**.

**What does "A campaign is already planned." mean?** Delete the planned campaign first to plan a different one.
