Test and name a product
Check with one tap whether an NFC product leads to the right Smart Page, and give it a name such as "Counter" or "Table 1".
The test shows you right away whether a sticker or card is connected correctly. A name helps you and your team tell where each product is.
Test a product
- Open Account›Products and tap the product.
- You see where it leads ("Leads to …"), taps in 30 days, Last tapped and the Code.
- Tap Test product and hold the product to the top edge of your iPhone. For a QR code, or an iPhone without NFC, the camera opens.
- The result appears right below:
- "It works. Anyone who taps lands on the Smart Page of …": all good.
- "That was a different product (…).": you picked up a different product.
- "Not read. Hold the product steady against the top edge of your iPhone.": try again.
Name a product
- In the product, tap Add a name. If it already has one, it says Rename.
- Enter a name or pick a suggestion: Counter, Entrance, Window or Table 1. At most 40 characters.
- Tap Save. The name appears on the tile.
Tap Remove name to delete it. Only you and your team see the name, not guests.
Who can do what
- Anyone who opens Products can run a test.
- Owners, Managers and Editors can name products.
Common questions
"Last tapped" says "Never". Nobody has tapped the product since you connected it. Your own check with Test product doesn't count as a guest's tap.
Why does it say "NFC card" instead of "NFC sticker"? That's how the app shows NFC cards, and also a blank sticker you connected yourself.
