Face ID and app lock

The app lock keeps guests, bookings and figures private, even if your iPhone ends up in someone else's hands. In the app switcher, NFCeez is hidden.

Set up Face ID

As an owner or manager, the app asks you the first time you open it.

1. Read "Protect your account with Face ID." and tap Turn on Face ID.
2. Confirm with your face. From now on you open NFCeez only with Face ID.

If your iPhone has no passcode, the app shows "First set up an iPhone passcode." Tap Open Settings, set a passcode under "Face ID & Passcode" and come back.

Adjust the lock

1. Open Account›Security.
2. Under Lock automatically, choose when the app locks again: Immediately, After 1 minute, After 5 minutes or After 15 minutes. The default is 5 minutes. Your choice applies straight away.
3. Tap Done.

NFCeez always asks when the app opens. You also confirm with Face ID when you delete a location or your account, invite or remove team members, withdraw an invitation or change roles.

For editors and read-only access

For you the lock is optional. Turn it on under Account›Security with Active, or off again with Off.

Common questions

Face ID doesn't recognise me. Then you unlock with your iPhone passcode.

Does NFCeez see my face data? No. Your face data never leaves your iPhone.

My iPhone has Touch ID. Then the app uses Touch ID instead of Face ID. Without either, you unlock with your iPhone passcode.
