Occasions and reservation times
Guests choose their occasion when booking. You set the first and last reservation, and a table always ends by closing time.
Reservations always fall within your opening hours. On closed days guests can't book.
Reservation times
- Open Guests›Bookings›Set up.
- Under "Reservation times" tap First and choose, for example, From opening or "1 hr after opening".
- Tap Last and choose how long before closing the last reservation starts.
- Tap Save settings.
The last reservation is always early enough that the table is free again by closing time. If a reservation takes 120 minutes, the latest choice is 2 hours before closing.
Occasions
Guests choose their occasion when booking, so you know in advance what is being celebrated. The options are:
- Birthday
- Kids' birthday
- Date
- Anniversary
- Business meal
- Celebration
- Family celebration
- Graduation
You set which ones you offer under Guests›Bookings›Set up›Occasions.
What you see
The request or booking shows the guest's occasion and note, see Confirm or decline requests.
Common questions
Why can't a guest book shortly before closing? The table has to be free again by closing time. That protects you from guests arriving just before you close.
Do guests have to choose an occasion? No, it's optional.
