Mark a dish as sold out
When a dish runs out, press and hold it to mark it sold out. It takes effect at once, without publishing again.
When a dish runs out, guests should see it right away. You don't need to publish your menu again for that.
Mark as sold out
- Open Smart Page›Edit page›Menu.
- Press and hold the dish.
- Tap Mark as sold out. Guests immediately see "Sold out" on the dish.
Make it available again
- Press and hold the dish.
- Tap Available again. The "Sold out" note disappears right away.
Rules
- This only works for dishes that are already published.
- The change applies at once at all locations, because all locations share one menu.
- Only Owners and Managers can mark dishes as sold out.
- A sold-out dish doesn't appear under "Popular".
Common questions
Why is "Mark as sold out" missing, or nothing happens? The option only appears for published dishes. Editors can see it, but it only works for Owners and Managers.
What does "Publish this item before changing its live availability" mean? The dish isn't online yet. Publish the menu first.
Should I hide a dish instead? If it's off the menu for longer, yes: turn off Show in menu inside the dish and publish afterwards.
