Stamping guests
How to give stamps at the counter: scan the QR code on the guest's Wallet card, choose how many, confirm.
You give stamps by scanning the personal QR code on the guest's card. This only works with the QR code, not by NFC.
Give stamps
- Open Guests›Loyalty and tap Scan loyalty card. The camera opens.
- The guest shows their card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. Hold the QR code in the frame. In low light, tap Light on.
- The guest's card appears with their progress, for example "3 more stamps until …".
- Choose the number of stamps with − and + or with 1, 2, 3 or 5. Each scan allows 1 to 100.
- Tap Give 1 stamp (or Give 3 stamps and so on). You see "Stamps given." and the new count.
- Tap Scan next card or Done.
If this scan reaches the reward, you see "Reward earned." and can redeem it right away with Redeem the reward now. See Redeeming rewards.
Without the camera
If a guest sent you their card's code, tap Enter code in the scanner, paste the code and tap Show card.
Good to know
- After every stamp the guest gets a short email, and their Wallet card shows the new count.
- Every stamp is saved with the person who gave it and the location.
- Each person can give at most 60 stamps or redemptions per minute. If that is exceeded, the app shows "Too many stamps at once. Wait a minute, then try again."
- With read-only access there is no Scan loyalty card button.
Common questions
What does "That's not a loyalty card" mean? You scanned a different QR code. Hold the personal QR code on the guest's card in the frame.
What does "This card belongs to a different loyalty programme." mean? The guest is showing another business's card.
The connection dropped. Was the stamp given twice? No. If you see "The last confirmation is still open.", tap Check confirmation again. The app checks the last stamp instead of giving it again.
The camera doesn't work. Allow camera access in iPhone Settings, or use Enter code.
Why can't I give stamps any more? "This programme has ended. No more stamps are given." means your campaign's end date has passed. Start a new campaign, see Starting and planning campaigns.
